Show HN: AKME – Chat Privately with GPT
apps.apple.com
AKME is an iOS app to "chat" with GPT, privately. The app is free - as in beer - and can be used two ways:
1. BYOK - Bring Your Own Key - enter your OpenAI API key and you're good to go, prompts are sent to the OpenAI API (and will not be used for further model training)
2. Buy In-App Tokens - if you don't have an OpenAI API key you can still buy tokens. Prompts are sent to a proxy that simply adds the OpenAI API key and forwards the request to the OpenAI API.
The app uses threads - much like ChatGPT - and with each new prompt in a thread the message history is also sent for context (working on adding embeddings to improve this aspect).
The parameters (and in BYOK mode, the model) can be easily adjusted (temperature, top p etc).
The app is accessible and messages and threads can be easily copied/exported.
There's also a "prompt suggestions" list that is growing every day.
The app is currently available in Italy, Canada and US - I'm adding more translations and will release in new regions soon.
Happy to receive feedback, of any kind!
