Show HN: AI app that auto-creates presentations from just a topic

magicslides.app

I recently built an AI app that transforms a simple topic into visually stunning presentations, saving users countless hours of manual work. I'm excited to share this with the HN community and get your valuable feedback, thoughts, and suggestions. What are the potential use cases you can think of? How can we improve it further? What challenges or ethical concerns do you foresee in AI-generated presentations? Let's discuss the impact of AI on productivity and the future of presentations!

This would be really useful for so many professions like teachers, you should try contact a school/ education department and provide them with a free trial, I think it would really launch this product

Thanks for making this!

However it cannot output information for big (~15 Page) PDF's, I assume this is because of the token output limit of chatGPT

yes, but i am adding plan with GPT-4 to increase the slide count and many other features

Very cool. In what sort of ways do you protect customer data? Do the permissions allow you access to all the users slides or just the one the add on is installed on?

A very useful product for many. Thanks for making this. The website looks clean as well. I was curious to know how did you record the screen cast of the product as shown on the website, as the animation looks really smooth.

thanks, i used an app called screen studio

That pruning of the wikipedia article in the video made me laugh. The common painpoint of all AI toolmakers and only megacorps can solve it. So we wait.

I'm the founder of revision.ai - which turns slides into quizzes to make learning fun!

Going to try feeding on your presentations in and see what happens - great to see

thanks for upvote.

Just today someone told me that Microsoft has something similar like this in beta. Anybody can confirm?

i think both Microsoft and Google are working on something

Canva does this already

They showed that they are working on integrating GPT4 in Powerpoint itself (the whole Office suite)
