Node.js – v20.0.0

Overall I like that now I can ditch Jest in favor of the native test runner. I hope to see some day Node adopting something like Prettier and/or ESLint officially and maybe Typescript, I don't really like to have to install those dependencies in every project and IMHO linter and formatter are 100% needed in every project.

That's news to me. It makes sense to have this feature in Node.js itself, instead of various implementations in userland.
"Stability: 1 - Experimental: This feature is being designed and will change."

This seems clearly inspired by Deno. Glad to see in the docs how the feature accepts one or more paths to limit where to allow file system read/write. Strange that the permissions are not inherited by a child node process or worker thread.

Excited to see these in. I've been waiting for the non-mutating versions of .sort() and .splice() and now they're finally here (.toSorted and toSpliced)!

Does this mean that WebAssembly memory can also now grow without making a copy of the entire buffer?

Well done Michaël!
Is this an afterthought from Deno or has been in the works?
Nice!
