Sega Nears Deal (Of $1B) for ‘Angry Birds’ Mobile Game Maker

Rovio’s IPO in 2017 valued the company at the same $1B as proposed here, which back then was only half of what the company had been hoping. The stock price collapsed soon after and has never reached the IPO price since. So long-term investors will surely be relieved if this deal goes through.

Rovio has a reputation in Finland as a company controlled by a close-knit investor family that never treated its game talent very well. Being owned by Sega might even be an improvement.
