Ask HN: Has the iPhone swipe keyboard gotten substantially worse lately?

I use the swipe keyboard and I find it's been adding apostrophes almost pathologically to any word that ends in an S, it inserts things like "anne's" instead of "and" frequently, and often rewrites short stretches of words to something nonsensical and won't let me correct it (that is, I've entered the words I want, then press space, and it re-autocorrects to the same incorrect phrase that I had just deleted).

Do most people just not use the swipe keyboard, or are they heavily A/B testing various algorithms and I just got stuck with the crappy one? I had an Android phone years ago and it was incomparably better at this.
