Picked up a Gen 7 Lenovo Yoga X1 with an i7, 16gb (soldered =\) RAM and an upgradable m2 for under $580 from a local reseller/recycler. Included battery, charger, and Win10 Pro.
The only meaningful gain from buying new would've been screen resolution, but for an extra $1.5k-$2k it's impossible for me to justify.
There is currently a huge inventory crisis across laptop brands.
