You think it's just Corporate Verbiage?

Before knowing anything about the technology, I'd just have to mention the word "trust".

I don't trust Google.

Until proven otherwise, I'm assuming that whatever they come up with is an attempt to avoid regulation and sneakily allows them to continue whatever they really want to do.

I assume that whatever it is will be more invasive and more precise and will increase their leverage over the (your)data. It will not improve privacy.
