What's "modern" now seems to be moving towards like: bindless everything (like 3rd iteration of what "bindless" means), mesh shaders, raytracing, flexible pipeline state. All of which are not in WebGPU.
I'm not that versed on details, but would interesting to hear what are the advantages of this modern bindless way of doing things.
