Is Google ReCAPTCHA GDPR Compliant?

Like with everything GDPR related: 1. It depends, and 2. It is complicated.

reCAPTCHA has been ruled unlawful in France. So that decision applies only in France. For now.

What is likely to happen next is that other DPAs will rule the same way if they face such cases.

But, as we have seen in the past, having DPAs reach different conclusions, is a possibility.
