Ask HN: Alternative GitHub UI?

Does anyone use an alternative GitHub UI? I was thinking of making my own with nothing much more than plaintext and links. My main problem with the default UI is it has too much friction for something I use so often, and the page that loads when I type github.com (the dashboard) is an unnecessary distraction.
