Just bought Horizon, a game I would have never tried without the Deck, and it's been a blast.

With the click on a button, I dive deep inside a the wonderful post apocalyptic hunter-gatherer world they created, in 2 seconds, thanks to the deck flawless sleep mode.

Seamless sleep is something you could never dream on a Linux system, and here not only it works, but it gives this nice instant experience of a console, for PC gaming.

It's so sweet.

Sleep mode is working so well; i use it as a pause button for Elden Ring (offline mode) - a game where pausing was omitted by design.

(I believe they designed it that way due to the multiplayer features, which i don't care about.)

I agree it is pretty nice, a minor nic I have with it is that sleep time counts toward the 'hours played' in the steam profile.

That's surprising; when I exit a game, it briefly shows the wrong total and immediately recalculates the value.
