“Get Perpendicular” HDD Technology Shockwave Flash Video (2005)

Archive.org is hosting this .swf file + an emulator. It takes a bit of time for the emulator to boot up, but the video seems to work overall.

Hitachi made this video to explain the new "PMR" / Perpendicular Hard Drives, which have been the primary HDD technology from then until roughly now. Today, HDD tech continues to advance, though most people are interested in the far faster SSD / NAND Flash drives.

Still, watch this old video and remember a time when holding more than a hundred MP3 songs in the palm of your hand was still fresh, new, and futuristic!
