Ask HN: How do hackers search for a new job?

"Hackers" as in HN users.

They read through the html of companies' websites to find the hidden links to job openings.

why would a company put hidden links to job openings?

I believe that was an implied pun on the double meaning of "hacker."

For higher grade jobs they encode the URL in an image.
