Alan Kay, Ivan Sutherland, Ed Catmull, and others to speak in Utah this week

> Events on both days will also be livestreamed on the University of Utah’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/@universityofutah/streams.

Mhmm added to calendar. What a solid lineup, good lord.

EDIT: you only need to RSVP if you're attending in person. First day is 10-5, second day is 10-12.

Not only them. The full list of speakers is awesome.

Seriously, this is a once in a lifetime event.

Agreed. Which is why I booked a flight to Salt Lake when I learned about it. Several years ago I passed on seeing Neil Armstrong speak at NASA/Ames. A few months later he died and I never got to see him in person. I learned my lesson and seldom pass up an opportunity to listen to smart people riff on topics which interest them.

”Make computing fun again.“

Alas the word "fun" does not appear on this page.

It does if you View Source.

From a values/philosophy perspective I once again am in strong agreement, but I again do not see the evidence of this message.

Wow what a great line-up!
