I wonder if people would complain as well if it was an other boring generic office building... Is there even way to win?
The bigger question that should be asked is, on a global scale, how much is being wasted indulging architectural whimsy? Excessive use of materials, energy efficiency compromised for appearances, conditioned space lost to giant lobbies...
