ChatGPT-powered E-ink clock writes a new poem every minute

The novelty of this is using an LLM to make pithy poems. There are under 1500 minute in a day, so the obvious optimization is to pre-generate the poems. You could even do dozens of variations for each minute and you probably wouldn’t ever notice repeats.
Then you would store the poems in flash and the entire device would be standalone, without being connected to the internet.
And in that case, the project doesn’t bring anything new to the table since it’s fairly trivial to write a poem like that without AI.
(I've posted this in HN comments before; album now has some pics with the finished newspaper in situ at my home.)
What's up with those rectangular artifacts on your panel?
I only picked up one since I didn’t know what to do with 6, but for $5 it’s a great little eink weather station.
