Once we have consumer level AR, our personal AI could take 'physical' (really just visual) form that follows us around.

Imagine the possibilities! We could sell so many digital hats!!!

I used to maintain that "Fifteen Million Merits" wasn't about the future at all, but was an allegory for the present.

These days, though, I'm beginning to wonder....
