Internet Computers: The Third Browser War

Great history lesson, good context. Like, this is probably my new "computing: what happened" article of choice.

I may try out Arc. I would love to see a new competitor emerge, especially one that is pro-web, where-as right now it seems like Team-Web-Platform is Chrome and Team-Keep-It-Simple is Safari/Moz.

The article doesn't talk a ton about the Arc browser but it does circle back at the end. The main takeaway I got is improved UX, some fresh takes.

I remain super doubtful they are gonna have good web platform support, given how much there is to do, and it's hard to imagine their performance is as good, given the optimizations that have been made, but a fresh take & lots of hard work by smart people really could make the difference, get it done & better.

I've been so excited for new players, and while I don't feel un-served with current UX- am not sure if I am a good target for the prop listed here- there's such a real chance here & I guess I ought investigate. Switching to Opera & converting my family was a major twist in my life, and seeing more/other ways could be another interesting fulcrum point.
