JS an Python are the top active languages on Github, so its probably due to the training data.

they asked why the author described it as such. i wondered the same, failing to see the python influence gpt4 intended

So it is proof that GPT4 still makes mistakes. But just one reported mistake in a very long session. And it could fix itself if prompted.

There are more mistakes, as always with GPT. For example:

Swift uses -> for function return types.

Looks like Typescript and a bit of Swift as well....
