Judging by how some of these EA types turned coat only when the FTX collapse hit the mainstream, I suspect that these so-called altruists have the moral scruples of your typical corporate snake.
If you were trying to run an orphanage, hospital or refugee camp and someone donated money that was going to let you save more lives, would you rather let people die than accept a donation from a crypto founder who a few people said was sketchy (but was also getting fawning press coverage in mainstream media and fundraising from legit financial institutions)?
He had the fawning press coverage, the money, the hype and the connections covering for him despite people calling him out for being sketchy.
Granted SBF wasn’t as bad of a sex pest but still, it’s probably not the gotcha you were reaching for.
