Show HN: Microblogging like Twitter but with a single text file

In an effort to get myself to write more, I made a site to post to (literally) with just about no ceremony whatsoever. Just update a text file and post it.

This came to be because, while working on markwhen.com, I realized I wasn't doing enough marketing or just talking about what I was working on in general. So I'm using the thing I'm working on to blog about it.

I hope to eventually include the ability to cross post to other platforms and maybe also send out emails.

Is UTC the only valid timezone in Markwhen? Also, is there any way to discover feeds in the works, or should I hope to come across feeds linked on people's websites?
