Ask HN: How do you optimize your notification diet?

I disabled ALL notifications (except phone calls), and developed routines for manually checking everything.

It’s done wonders for reducing my stress levels and increasing my meaningful output :)

same, I don't use communication apps on my phone, if needed I use the browser.

but I need to have <5 min reactivity for my customers so ideally I can do some custom notification if necessary i can code a mobile/webapp quickly

There's no APIs for managing notifications on either iOS or Android, you'd require a jailbreak/root to do this.

Discord does let you customize notifications pretty well.

someone implement a llm service where i can ask gpt4 to only send me notifications from X persons at Y times on all my software?
