I have a question. These newer Intel machines all have performance and energy efficient cores. This makes sense as they are designed for the Desktop, but is this meaningful for server-side applications?

Recent Linux kernels finally support these CPUs (do they have full support?), but if you host a service where you want predictable (and fast) response times why you use the mix of both cores? Or would you just turn off those efficient cores for the server-side usage?
