These guys will get themselves killed or worse kill someone. Here's hoping the Mexican Army arrests them before that happens.

I bet these militia guys wish that the Mexican army was around to arrest them in Mexico. But they aren't there and neither is US border patrol. That's the problem.

At least somebody is so my something about the blatant smuggling issues.

The amendment specifically refers to the right to keep and bear arms in the context of maintaining state militias, as opposed to a national standing army (which didn't exist at the time.) Even though SCOTUS has interpreted the amendment more broadly than that, and we have a standing army and national guard, we have to allow militias to exist and we have to let them be armed.

Ironically, the second amendment also requires that militias be "well regulated," but because we have to use the original 18th century meaning of terms, that doesn't mean regulated by the state, but simply armed and ready, so essentially just self-regulated.
