My Samsung tumble dryer proudly tells me every time I turn it on, “optimised by AI”. But it’s not smart enough to know it’s told me that a hundred times before.
"Optimized by AI" is the 2020's version of "Fuzzy Logic"
To be fair, "optimized by AI" doesn't claim that the machine contains AI. Might just be "at some stage in the design process, AI was involved in some way". Which is probably for lots of hardware today.
