"picking up pennies in front of a steam roller"

Shorting stable coins seems to be an inverse of that.

Depositing pennies behind a steam roller?

Picking up suitcases full of cash in front of a toothbrush is more what the poster was going for I imagine..

searching for one huge bag of cash while there is a constant low-intensity stream of toothbrushes hitting you :D
