Show HN: Petition.stanford.edu

This is the Petitioning Portal for the ASSU, Stanford University's student government. It replaces the need to get signatures on a paper petition, and is automatically validated.

Petitions are uniquely valuable as compared to primary elections, because meeting a petition threshold requires active participation on the part of the candidate, and you can't succeed on name recognition alone.

Unfortunately you won't be able to explore the petition creation UI without being a Stanford Affiliate.
