More women than ever are single in the US, has big implications for the economy

>a stubborn wage gap continues to keep many women, especially single mothers, from enjoying the same economic gains as single men and married couples.

>Children can weigh heavily on single mother’s wealth, House and her team found. Single women with children had a median net worth of just $7,000 in 2019, compared to $65,000 for single women without children.

Beyond the pay gap mith[0], why society is normalizing an individualistic society of "heroes", which can/should have full time careers, raise one/multiple childrens alone, keeping healthy personal lifes, friends, hobbies all togheter? people who can do all that well ALONE are a minority, but the failure of the majority at being a "hero" can and do harm childrens, who deserve an healthy enviroment, that usually consisted in 2 parents + family members watching/nurturing them.

>“I’m not necessarily looking for marriage in the near future, but it would be nice to occasionally not have a date ghost you,” Lundberg said. “If you give any hint that you might be looking for something even halfway serious, you just don’t hear from people again.”

Could one of the many reasons of rising singlehood be the inability to foster healthy relations with one another and communicating well? Or the capitalistic system which feed our Egos/personal bubbles to crazy levels (joke on 6 figures 6 feet 6 inches)? Is this another example of inconciliable divides that are ripping American society apart (like political polarization)?
