Yes that jump in intellectual prowess shows an intelligence can adapt in order to game the system that awards the grades.
Its a bit like looking for the ultra heavy suitcases at an airport check in because its loaded with kilos of cocaine and thus weighs considerably more than your average travellers clothes. Meta data comes in all shapes and sizes!

So are teaching staff demanding pay rises to cope with the extra work load, because ChatGPT can work with the latest global scientific discoveries faster than the ideas can filter out to the educational systems, their curriculum and textbooks?
It will be interesting to see if anyone gets marked down for using the latest knowledge and opinion because the teachers and examiners are out of date.
If its not obvious, AI could take on, the entire scientific community, something the legal system will have to deal with, because currently the judiciary can pick and choose their scientific "committee" of experts and rig court cases however they like.
But it looks like the educational system is having its Watergate moment.
