Netflix fights attempt to make streaming firms pay for ISP network upgrades

Let's see... we pay our ISPs for access to the Internet. Netflix pays network providers for bandwidth for their servers all over the planet. Everyone is getting paid. Why should our ISPs get paid from the other end for something we're already paying for?
I get it - it's a "strain", because Netflix and other streaming constitute a majority of the bulk of the traffic on the Internet - but we already get capped on our home ISP plans if we use too much even when it's supposed to be unlimited, so allowing ISPs to bill upstream is only going to embolden them to want more.
If they can set a precedent with Netflix, they're not going to stop there - then it'll be Hulu, AppleTV+, Paramount, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and so on.
Next, all streaming services will be treated differently than other Internet traffic, and net neutrality will become a thing of the past.
No, thank you.
If they're the only ones paying this tax for infrastructure, they should have exclusive rights to stream content over that new infrastructure
