We had a couple of Maya Deren articles before.

Her best film IMHO is about her cat, it's on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqjQf_s7zUE

Go for the restored 29 minute version tho: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mh2CzXOqGT0

Why is she uncredited in the film?

Also, is there any way to turn of Youtube's execrable plastering of advertising over the last minute or so of a video?

I understand the YT description and wikipedia say she directed it in collaboration with Alexander Hammond, but I can't find any contemporary or scholarly source to confirm this.

Everything, including the Wikipedia source [0], points to her involvement as being the narration of a different version of this film, where she is credited. That version is linked in a sibling comment.

She contributed some words used in title cards in the second version of the film. There’s no evidence that she had any other involvement in either version.
