Show HN: I made an AI assistant to write better song lyrics

This is so insanely cool and fun!!!

Here’s a Tupac song about my friend Ben who, against all odds was able to learn concept design and work for Blizzard Entertainment as a mid level concept artist:

Verse 1:

I'ma tell this story of my friend Ben He was never meant to be a designer in all money he had to spend His dream was, loved, but thought to be impossible so it seemed But all these "Nos" only drove him to scream do or die

Chorus:

Ben had a dream, never let it go And even when they said no, no, no He made it happen, sure and slow He earned his way, against all the odds My friend Ben, showed the world what he gots And made it in that industry, never stopped till he went pro

Verse 2:

With no artistic background, no resources at hand He studied his erases and textbooks and clocked in hours and hours Finally Ben got himself a portfolio, it was stronger than steel And he made sure his future was brighter than all the old tales

Chorus:

Ben had a dream, never let it go And even when they said no, no, no He made it happen, sure and slow He earned his way, against all the odds My friend Ben, showed the world what he gots And made it in that industry, never stopped till he went pro

Verse 3: Findin another job would be an easy feat But Ben kept his dream alive, tryin' to be more than just man of the street So he stayed focus, kept the faith and stayed true And it nearly paid off, 'cause that very day he got hired by Blizzard too

Chorus:

Ben had a dream, never let it go And even when they said no, no, no He made it happen, sure and slow He earned his way, against all the odds My friend Ben, showed the world what he gots And made it in that industry, never stopped till he went pro

I asked for a song "about butts" in the style of Ian Dury, then refined the lyrics to be more corporate and businesslike, then secondly to incorporate references to Jesus and 6 random patron saints. This was the result:

"

Verse 1

My bottom line's alright, been in the news

It's an asset, will live and die by the grace of Jesus

Plus the patronage of St. Peter and St. Paul,

Is a butt worth more than a single share of a golden file?

Chorus

We got the capital butts,

Gonna shake it through the night

Doin' the cashflow and feeling alright

Gonna move and groovin' to the boppin' money-money-money

With the capital butts tonight

Verse 2

My assets are firm and so prime,

I'm always investing them around in my time

Doin' the capital dance, feel that portfolio jolt

This business got a booty of faith, I ask of the saints

Chorus

We got the capital butts,

Gonna shake it through the night

Doin' the cashflow and feeling alright

Gonna move and groovin' to the boppin' money-money-money

With the capital butts tonight

Bridge

Can you believe that we're still part of this show?

Ain't gonna let them take our guide from the grace of St. Dominic

Make it bank, make it earn, make it move 'till we're done

We gonna keep on shakin' 'till we earn the patronage of St Francis

Chorus

We got the capital butts,

Gonna shake it through the night

Doin' the cashflow and feeling alright

Gonna move and groovin' to the boppin' money-money-money

With the capital butts tonight

We gonna keep on shakin' trusting in the protection of St. Joseph and St. Jude

For the divine assistance of St. Michael, the Archangel and Eternal God"

It seems to confuse “England” with Japan. Land of the rising sun?

I entered, “England” and “Drum & Bass” as the genre.

However, it did do the lyrics in the right style… “Selectah”

Nice work

In my attempts it just spewed word to word copies of original songs. Tried Christmas and Rain as prompts.

Tried Indian language (Hindi). Not bad actually. :)

Where are the lyrics ?
