Why Python Won't Be the Language of LLMs

Always a language centric analysis vs what programmers are doing. By this logic Javascript wouldn't be anywhere near where it is now.

Don't get me wrong, its a great analysis but it misses the premise of what makes people use a language. Python got where it is simply because people like to use it this way. FastAI tried to even pivot away from Python and ditched the effort.

LLMs are an interim thing. It's not that efficient to type everything. Next iteration of code helpers will have some sort of screen reader/callback functionality so you can say 'I want code to do X, but what about Y (highlighting Y with a mouse in a dataset or plot).

This typo made me chuckle, given how much LLMs interfere with my work by entertaining me.

But sooner or later they will help me work, or work for me. In some sense the Singularity is taking over. Where we're going we don't need programming languages.
