The interesting development will come as these AIs make lawyering trivial. 99% of what lawyers do on a daily basis, from writing contracts to motions in litigation, is right on the edge of irreversible disruption. (And I don't use that word lightly!) It'll be very interesting to watch this play out. If certain agents play their cards right, it could lead to much broader and more equitable access to justice for the common man.

Then again... We may yet see an uneasy alliance between the "AI safety" community, luddites (Kaczynskists and other types,) academia and media in general, and the 1.5M American lawyers who are on the cusp of having their jobs devoured.
