The particle exists in the superposition of all dispositions, and when the potential of something else interferes, the potential reduces to the “state”. In the very next instant however, that potential redistributes over all available potentials derived from the interference of the other particulate and so on.
The potential is bound by some spin characteristic. If that spin characteristic is disrupted (fission or fusion for instance) part of that body of potential is converted into radiant potential, as discrete photons.
The basic hydrogen fusion model covers this.
classical physics covers the DISCRETE STATE consequence (classical cause and effect). Potential is the super set of state’s disposition.
To further elaborate , you know how it is said that most of matter is empty space. Well that empty space is actually the void displaced by the mutual potentials (bound and repulsed by the classical forces). Quantum disposition does not physically place the particle in any particular place, yet acts as it is uniform displacement.
