Ohhhhh man. That Windows 9x interface... takes me back to the days when computer apps weren't all webshit. And it's in Java, no less -- probably Swing!

I know it's not quite ASCII art, but has anyone ever use PabloDraw? https://picoe.ca/products/pablodraw/

I used to love seeing BBS ANSI art. There was just such an aesthetic to it.

PabloDraw is amazing! I used to hack on the MSVC C++ codebase back in the day when it was hosted on Sourceforge and there was no real way to even submit PRs.

In fact, PabloDraw remains the only MSVC++ project I've ever cared to code for. Personally I'm a bit of a Linux / FOSS / Platform-flexibility-positive kind of person.

The collaborative mode on PD is pretty fun if you want to draw ASCII or ANSI together with someone, especially for NFO files. It's better if at least one of you has some skillz.

Monodraw is a nice implementation of the same idea. Others are mentioned in this old thread:

Can anyone find a source download link? This might work well on the web if transpiled to JS but I don't see the sources anywhere.
