Ask HN: Is GPT-Bing going to become our default search engine?

I'm deeply not getting it. Why would I want "answers" instead of "sources?"

I wish there was a chatGPT that cited its sources, or just spat out a bunch of links instead of giving an "answer."

This would be the ideal - the advantage that this has over google is that you don't have to wade through so many hits to find the page that has your answer and then read through the whole page to find your answer.

Having the concise paragraph answer of chatGPT with sources to cross reference is the most ideal.

If sources is allowed, then it will generate even more spammy ads content for nonsense content ?

No. It’ll be my mom’s default search engine, but I will never stoop so low.

I think so. It gives definitive answers which is what we want.
