Samsung makes great hardware, but their software is a deal breaker. If only they could leave stock Android in peace they could be making great phones...
But they make so much money shoveling bloatware and ads on every device that they create. That's enough to make me never give another penny to Samgsung. (Well at least directly, their hardware is often used to make other devices which are hard to avoid.)
But their phone HW is SOOOO nice, I think it beats even apple on how beautiful, light and sparkly it is.
And they often have best-in-class camera hardware, too. All squandered thanks to a terrible software strategy.
The S23 mainly uses the same Sony Sensors that are in the Pixel 7 Pro.....
I have a S21. It takes pretty terrible pictures, like all smeared out and void of details. Do I need to use a third-party camera app or something?
My Samsung TV shows ads throughout the UI. Even when just bringing up the input switcher. Never will I purchase a Samsung product again.
What do you mean "stock android"? It isn't really a thing anymore, not for years now
AOSP is still a thing as far as I'm aware.
Samsung Internet is a really good browser. I also like their file manager
