Nobody has ever told me that, personally.
I know I'm not the only one that detests the vague "our product is a tool that helps you" marketing that faffs on about "unlocking your team's potential"[1] and refuses to say what the product actually is. Even scrolling through the "features" page[2], I couldn't figure out what the actual core product was, until I gave up and went to the github page[3] and immediately found the answer.
(It's an issue tracker)
[1] You'd think at this point, with all the tools offering that, every padlock on your team's potential would be thoroughly atomized into subatomic particles.
The product itself looks good at a glance but the inspirational style blog post makes it feel like they're trying to channel a douchier version of Steve Jobs who is convinced that he's an inspirational writer.
Don't try to connect with me emotionally for this kind of product, I don't need much to be convinced to try something other than Jira and the product should speak for itself afterwards.
I get it but I think the execution is poor here.
This content is much more to the point on the thinking behind their product and why I would want to try it https://linear.app/method
Fake Edit: Oh, it's a planning tool, ala JIRA, Asana, etc... (is that correct?)
Is there an API? I clicked around a bit and didn't see anything.
Edit: Found the GH link! It's at the bottom, on the right. Call that a "clicks to code" score of ehhh 2.5; landing page, scroll -> GH -> specific repo. That's fine for a tool not aimed at developers.
(the winner, at zero, remains https://sinatrarb.com/)
Linear is a company that has created tools to make it easier for teams to communicate, collaborate, and create. The tools they offer are software, such as spreadsheets, messaging clients, version control systems, text editors, and issue trackers. These tools help teams break out of the prison of stagnation and push for change. The company also offers resources for customers, such as a community, contact information, and terms of service. Additionally, they offer developers the ability to access their API, check the status of their systems, and access their GitHub and Magic.
I don't know why these boatholes don't just SAY what it is they can do.
