I asked ChatGPT to summarize...

The article analyzes Apple's organizational structure for innovation. It highlights the company's focus on small cross-functional teams, empowerment of individual teams, and a flat hierarchy that allows for quick decision making. The article also mentions the company's approach of combining hardware and software expertise, and its willingness to take calculated risks in pursuit of innovation. The author argues that this structure has been a key factor in Apple's success and ability to continuously launch groundbreaking products.

Thanks for providing this. What if this kind of summary was automatically generated for all articles submitted to HN and pinned to the top?

The article already has a summary. What both summaries miss is the fact that one of the authors was appointed by Steve Jobs himself to study Apple’s ways and then offer the learnings as a curriculum to Apple employees.

HN title needs to mention 2020. Discussion from back then can be found here:

This is the problem with any post about Apple. There is so much nonsense posted in that thread driven by the emotion that Apple generates among some people. I don't know if there is a solution to this. Wish there was a way to filter based on if the person is a known Apple "hater" or "fanboy".

We know factually exactly what "Apple organized for innovation" looks like - it's Apple with a brilliant innovator dictator running the show. What portion of Apple's budget is being spent searching for the next Jobs?
