Ask HN: How do you organize your personal photos and videos?

Ran out of Google photos storage long back and had a SNAFU with trying to merge media from multiple accounts. Decided I'm done with cloud and want to store everything on my local disk and run a local server to access via phone when needed + cloud backup only. Partner sharing is still a mess. What's your way to organize photos?
