Hope Optane is a wonderful idea that doesn't go extinct because office workers with no imagination can't be helped by voice assisting Ai. The latest Mac Mini iteration shoes suboptimal design in a reused case and powerpack, there is an unused void inside the case and Apple could have been cheeky with the yt tear aparts by expertly and evenly spreading the thermal paste with a hint of Apple logo. Maybe the unused inside void, overpowered powerpack and boring case are opportunities to see after market expansion for a next Mac Mini Pro Max Ulti design.

Hmm. Unfortunate.

Apple should have bought Optane from Intel and really gone with the whole storage-is-just-slower-ram idea. And then they’d also get super high write endurance.

That wouldn't be appleish, they don't like complicated stuff, look for unified gpu memory:)

Optane is discontinued, for a reason?

For a reason I have no idea made any sense. It was expensive but also wicked fast. Second hand Optane pci-e cards can be had on eBay and they’re amazing.

Unified memory is a very attractive feature.
