No. We organized them because we were promised student representation on the school council but it turned out to be in name only and our representatives were simply ignored and kept in the dark about everything.
Well, Section 28 happened here in the UK in the 80's, and that was targetting teachers (and local councils) that didn't toe the central government's homophobic agenda.
