Sometimes I think people do that sort of thing to wait to unveil evidence of (let's say) animosity with other public figures until the person in question will be safely dead, but it's always fun to speculate on other possiblities.
For instance, maybe the queen always hated her job, but didn't want to say so. :)
I personally hadn't heard of any of those rumors being proven as fact, but there were always lots of people who took them at face value anyway.
Another mystery (to me) is that I could've sworn that Heinlein had at least one child, but last time I checked, I couldn't see any trace of that on the web, not even rumors. Maybe I just have a faulty memory about that.
I don't consider it a secret message, more like a time capsule.
