I have to wonder about the longevity of the machines in the harsh ocean water climate. Salt water plus barnacles and all that jazz. I imagine there would be quite a bit of maintenance involved, as like the hull of a ship.

It looks like center module is constantly getting submerged.. so there are tons of waterproof seals which are in constant motion, partially underwater, and there is electrical equipment right behind them.

I cannot imagine this being both reliable and cheap.
