I already didn't know what a "Pulsating eclipsing binary AI" is, turns out it's a star, not an artificial intelligence.

Yes, it is "al hya", not "ai hya".

It really looks like a capital I in the title to me (with the top serif extending both left and right). It also has ASCII code 73.

Interesting, you are correct! It actually is an "i" instead of an "l", according to the original scientific paper. My mistake.

I assumed it is "al" because a large part of named stars are called "al-something", because the names come from Arabic. But in this case the name of the star actually is "ai hya".
