If AGB's CoRecursive was to do a panel on ChatGPT (and other LLMs), who should he invite. (I am not AGB, nor am I shilling for him. Think of this as a listener petition.)

You could try reaching out to the other GPT companies (such as https://character.ai) to see if they'd be open to or interested in doing a collab.

Most of these GPT companies have shared roots and DNA from the Google LaMDA engineering team exodus.

It might be a longshot since they're all currently in fierce competition to dominate the space, but what's the downside to asking? Can't hurt.

I agree that the companies themselves might be loathe to participate, except that they have published public academic papers, and are therefore publicly responsible at least for the content of those papers. But I had in mind more of an external expert panel of folks who haven't been directly involved, like academic NLP experts, maybe philosophers/sociologists of technology?

Could work, but the risk there is the current state of AI is confusing and it's mechanisms often unintuitive m, so what value will the lay opinions bring to the table?

It depends a lot on the specific conversation content, i.e. if the goal is only to wax over philosophical matters, then this could work. Such an event would be entirely uninteresting to me compared to hearing discourse or debates between the world rebound experts.
