Ask HN: Will AI programs like ChatGPT be able to make conversations?
Specifically I wonder about the AI asking investigative questions, for example to narrow down the search space to generate more specific output.
Here's what ChatGTP itself said about this (slightly longer question than in the title):
> As an AI language model, GPT-3 and its successors have the capability to respond to investigative questions, but the quality and accuracy of the answers can vary depending on the complexity of the question and the amount of training data the model has been exposed to.
GPT-3 is trained on a wide range of texts and can generate text on a wide range of topics, but it's not designed to be an expert on any specific subject. It can generate text that could be used as a starting point for an investigation, but it's not able to perform an investigation itself.
As AI technology continues to improve, it's possible that AI programs like GPT-3 will be able to have more sophisticated conversations, including investigative questions. However, it's important to note that AI models like GPT-3 are not infallible and their outputs should be critically evaluated to ensure their accuracy.
In summary, AI programs like GPT-3 have the capability to respond to investigative questions, but the quality and accuracy of the answers can vary depending on the complexity of the question and the amount of training data the model has been exposed to. As AI technology continues to improve, it's possible that AI programs will be able to have more sophisticated conversations, including investigative questions. But still, it's important to critically evaluate the responses from these models to ensure their accuracy.
