Generate diagrams programmatically with D2

I admit that I skimmed the article because I already have a good solution for this (mermaid rendered in gitlab/github markdown files), but by the looks of it, this just looks like a limited (lacking inheritance and the like) entity relationship diagram custom generator using D2's api.

Fun little experiment, but if you want to get serious about documentation, I'll just suggest mermaid instead of rolling your own custom text-to-diagram tool.

But if instead you want to have some fun generating diagrams, this looks like a good starting point.
