Ask HN: Has anybody made the switch to working in Europe (or EMEA) from the US?

I am a US resident holding a single passport for the USA. For personal reasons, I have a need to work in EMEA timezones.

I'm wondering if anybody has successfully made the jump to EMEA and any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
